It’s been a hot minute (it is summer) since I’ve added anything new to my website…sorry about that. Life has a way of happening sometimes. But as things are finally starting to settle down for me (new career, new home), I plan on spending some more time here…and imaging! Thanks to Tony for a kick in the behind. I recently upgraded the scope to a Stellarvue SVA 130T-IS. What a beautiful big refractor! I have enjoyed the scope visually a couple of times, as the rain gods must be appeased aplenty for a scope of this size. At 130mm f/7, my TeleVue Delos 10mm eyepiece at x90 magnification has allowed me to enjoy many targets this summer. Every Messier object in Sagittarius, Ophiuchus, Serpens, and Hercules have been exquisite. With the TeleVue 2x Powermate, at about x190 magnification, Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars have been remarkable. I still have a Raspberry Pi 3 project to put together, as well as a walkthrough of portable imaging steps for success using my Software Bisque Paramount MyT. Stay tuned…it’s on its way…and it will be a hot one! Clear Skies!
Happy amateur astronomer!
